I am an Advanced Registered Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with prescriptive authority practicing in the state of Washington. I also have a license to prescribe in the state of Oregon. ARNP’s are advanced practice nurses with graduate training in evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues including prescribing medication. My practice is focused on prescribing psychiatric medications and providing supportive psychotherapy for adults who are 18 years or older. I treat a variety of individuals, some of whom are dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), and Post Traumatic Disorder (PTSD). I believe that Psychiatric medications are most effective when used in combination with counseling. I will make every effort to stay in contact with the therapist of your choice to coordinate care after a Release of Information is signed. I am Nationally Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Clinical Nurse Specialist. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Linfield School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon in June 1995 and a Master’s degree in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in June 1997. My psychiatric career began working on an inpatient Psychiatric Unit for 5 years at Peacehealth Hospital. I am currently working in a private practice setting and have been helping adults with their medication needs for the past 23 years. Please give me a call to discuss and set up an appointment for an initial evaluation.
